“Once, I prayed to meet al-Khidr. All of a sudden, he appeared in my room and startled me. He was green, he had thick eyebrows, and had a very powerful presence. He did not speak words. It was a very startling experience, as I did not expect him to appear. He knew what I was thinking even before I could ask, and he would answer my thoughts before they became questions, without words. I saw him and I remember this experience. I asked/thought of some questions and about his life, and the fountain of youth. He informed me without words that Imam Ja’far ibn Muhammad al-Sadiq (rad) knew where it was, but did not care for it.
