Madain Saleh, the ancient Nabatean symbol of the Hawk/Falcon, which predates Rome, and continued to be used as a symbol by the Lords of Quraysh in the pre-Islamic era, as well as the post Prophetic eras. The Hawk/Falcon continues to be used as a symbol by contemporary Arabic governments today, including the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
